Eiviss Garden Named Best Garden Centre in Spain 2026 at the Garden Magazine Awards

What began as a trip to Valencia to collect a regional award turned into one of the most significant milestones in our history. Eiviss Garden has been named Best Garden Centre in Spain 2026 at the Garden Magazine Awards, held during Iberflora. It is an honour that also coincides with our 50th anniversary.

From an Expected Accolade to an Unforgettable Surprise

Last July, we received the news that Eiviss Garden had once again been named the Best Garden Centre in the Balearic Islands. We had previously received this award in the 2020/2021 edition, and the official presentation was scheduled to take place at Iberflora, the international trade fair for the green sector held in Valencia. Up to that point, everything was going as planned.

During the ceremony, the awards for the best garden centres in each autonomous community were announced and presented. However, the event still held one more surprise: the organisers were also set to reveal the top three garden centres across the whole of Spain.

And that was when we heard our name called. Eiviss Garden had won top national honours, being crowned the Best Garden Centre in Spain 2026.

The news caught us completely off guard. Marco Cleries, CEO of Eiviss Garden, was chatting with Lucas Bucossi, manager of our nursery and production site, when the announcement was made. Neither of them expected the ceremony to conclude like that. It was a moment of sheer surprise, emotion, and pride that we will never forget.

Recognition Shared Across Generations

Attending Iberflora were Marco Cleries, CEO of Eiviss Garden; Xavi Botey, Garden Centre Manager; and Lucas Bucossi, Nursery Production Manager. Also present at the ceremony were Pepe Cleries, founder of Eiviss Garden, and Ana Marco, who attend this leading industry event year after year.

Sharing this moment across different generations and alongside the people who have shaped the company's journey made the award all the more meaningful.

Behind this accolade lies far more than just retail space, our product range, or a business venture. It represents a family history, tough decisions, years of dedication, and a team that has supported the evolution of Eiviss Garden into what it is today.

52 Years of History and a Firm Commitment to the Future

Receiving the award for Best Garden Centre in Spain during our 52nd anniversary year is particularly special. Over the past five decades, Eiviss Garden has continually evolved to adapt to the changing needs of the industry and our customers.

A major turning point came seven years ago with the extensive modernisation of our garden centre. This overhaul represented a bold commitment to refurbishing our facilities, enhancing the shopping experience, and developing a more innovative, future-ready business. Behind that transformation was an immense amount of hard work, effort, and sacrifice.

Receiving recognition of this magnitude brings the immense satisfaction of knowing that the decisions made and the path chosen have truly paid off.

We see this award not merely as a celebration of past achievements, but as a catalyst to keep moving forward.

This accolade holds another vital significance for us: it proves that independent garden centres can compete at the very highest level, drive innovation, and become benchmarks within the industry.

From Ibiza, while staying true to our roots as a family-run business, we have worked to build a garden centre that seamlessly blends expertise, specialist knowledge, and a contemporary vision for horticulture and landscaping. We believe in a business model founded on our team, premium service, our own plant production, and the agility to adapt to an ever-evolving market.
