Our experts say
Pittosporum tobira 'Nana' is a dwarf variety of the classic Pittosporum tobira, but with much slower growth and a naturally spherical shape. Its small, dark green, glossy leaves bring a refined, tidy texture to the landscape.
It is highly valued for its resistance to wind, saline conditions and its tolerance of drought once established, making it a perfect choice for coastal or Mediterranean gardens. Although it rarely flowers in this dwarf variety, its ornamental value lies in the shape and density of the foliage. It works very well as a low hedge, in topiary, in groups or as a container specimen.
