Euonymus Varieties

1. Euonymus Pulchellus

This plant, also known by some as the "Boniato Elegante", is a distinguished member of the Euonymus family, and is highly valued not only for its hardiness, but also for its unmistakable beauty.

The name "Pulchellus" comes from Latin, meaning "beautiful", and one only needs to look at this shrub to understand the origin of its name. It is a perfect choice for gardeners looking to add a touch of elegance and nature to their spaces, while enjoying a low-maintenance plant with a highly rewarding visual appeal.

2. Euonymus Japonicus Microphylus

Its variety “Albovariegata” is not just a name; it is a poetic description of its essence. This shrub has deep green leaves, but it is its white edging, almost like brushstrokes of white paint, that gives it that distinctive and sophisticated touch. This feature allows it to capture and reflect light in a unique way, adding brightness and a striking visual contrast to any space.

3. Euonymus Japonicus

What  really makes this shrub special is its wide range of varieties, each with unique characteristics that give it a particular charm. Here we present some of the most notable:

  • Aureomarginata:

It is characterised by dark green leaves edged with a thin golden-yellow margin. The contrast is subtle but distinctive, making it an excellent choice for adding a touch of brightness to any garden.

  • Luna:

With leaves that feature a lighter, almost silvery centre, surrounded by a darker green. This combination gives the impression of moon phases on each leaf.

  • Compactus:

As its name suggests, it is a more compact and dense-growing variety. Its leaves are a bright green and remain a uniform size.

  • Bravo:

This variety stands out for its glossy dark green foliage which, under certain conditions, can develop lighter tones in the centre of the leaves, creating a variegated effect.

  • Variegata:

It has green leaves with broad creamy-white markings. This variegated combination creates a beautiful contrast and brings a fresh, bright feel to the garden.
